WRITING COMPOSITIONS

   This Writing section assesses basic skills and concepts that are important in performing the job of a language teacher. This section includes  sample topics to assess the student´s ability to write effectively. One of the topics asks to analyze a situation or statement; the other asks to write about a personal experience. Students are not expected to demonstrate any specialized knowledge in their responses.

   They should be sure to write only on the topics presented, respond to both topics, address all of the points presented in the topics, and support generalizations with specific examples. Before they begin writing, they should read each topic and organize their thoughts carefully.

   Their written response must be original work, written in their own words, and must not be copied or paraphrased from some other work.
