WHICH IS THE AGE RECOMMENDED TO SEND TEENAGERS ON COURSES ABROAD?

This is the first aspect parents ask themselves.

The age is not as important as the student´s maturity and the level achieved in the learning of the language. Learners must be able to develop themselves within the language regarding basic needs (from 14 years).

The first trip might involve a College with a residence. Parents will always feel calmer because the students are more controlled.

Another option: staying at the house of a family and attending lessons, always at an international school, so that learners feel the need for practising the language.

Intensive program in a family: it is a program without lessons. They not have contact with other students of the same nationality. It is the perfect program to practise the language.  These students participate the whole day in activities and trips with the hosting family.

In these programs, together with the language practise, it is necessary to value the fact that students become more self-efficient and encounter another culture and another way of life in these countries. This is always actually enriching and it opens up the learners´ minds.
