Intercultural skills when negotiating

Executives devoted to business deals with people from different countries must have some sort of special sensitivity to deal with those rules implicit in the process.

For instance, there is a ritual in Japan related to the exchange of visiting cards. They must be held in both hands, regarded carefully for a while, and place them in a special card holder, otherwise it may seen the person who has given the card to you is not appreciated.

WHICH IS THE AGE RECOMMENDED TO SEND TEENAGERS ON COURSES ABROAD?

This is the first aspect parents ask themselves.

The age is not as important as the student´s maturity and the level achieved in the learning of the language. Learners must be able to develop themselves within the language regarding basic needs (from 14 years).

The first trip might involve a College with a residence. Parents will always feel calmer because the students are more controlled.

Los ejecutivos que se dedican a hacer negocios con personas de diferentes países, deben tener una especial sensibilidad hacia las normas implícitas.

En Japón, por ej. hay un ritual que acompaña al intercambio de tarjetas: se tiene que sujetar con ambas manos, contemplarla un rato con esmero y colocarla en un tarjetero especial, de lo contrario no valoras a la persona que te la ha entregado.

¿QUE EDAD ES RECOMENDABLE PARA ENVIAR ADOLESCENTES A CURSOS EN EL EXTRANJERO?

Lo primero que se preguntan los padres.

   No importa tanto la edad como la madurez del alumno y su nivel del idioma, tiene que poder desenvolverse en el idioma para las necesidades básicas (a partir de 14 años).

La primera salida podría ser en College con residencia, siempre da más tranquilidad a los padres porque están más controlados.

  Otra opción: conviviendo en una familia y asistiendo a clases, siempre en un colegio internacional, para que tenga necesidad de practicar el idioma.
