NAVAL - DIA 6

Hello from Naval!

   Today we had the final of dodge ball after the English lessons. The Titans were the winners! In the afternoon, we had some more practice of baseball in order to prepare the students for the final match. As usual, we went to the pool after the sports. 

 

 

 

   Finally after dinner, we went to the Aula Magna and we continued playing some more games just as we did yesterday. We’ve called it Freak Night (Part 1 and Part 2), and this time both houses were tied. 

 

NAVAL - DIA 5

Bright new day here in Naval! 

  The morning went as usual: English lessons after breakfast and we went to the pool for about an hour before lunch. In the afternoon, the two houses played against each other a friendly football game. Some students scored some great goals! The match was followed by a game of dodge ball in order to practice for the ongoing competition between the Guardians and the Titans. 

 

   Finally at night, we played several games in the Aula Magna. It was another great day here!

NAVAL - DIA 4

Fourth day in Naval.

 

  

   After our English lessons, we had free time in the swimming pool. In the afternoon, we did one of the most beloved excursions of the summer camp: we went to the Salinar! It was so funny to see all of us floating in the pools. We had a blast! Finally at night, we created our own postcards. The students loved it and there are some real masterpieces. Keep an eye on the mail!

 

WESTBOURNE - 1

   Hola a tod@s! Me llamo Begoña y soy la monitora del programa de Westbourne. Ya estuve el año pasado y me gustó mucho la experiencia y por eso he querido repetir este año.

  Soy profesora de inglés y me encanta mi trabajo, disfruto mucho enseñando.

30 julio.

   Hemos llegado a Westbourne un poco cansados y con sueño, eran las 4 de la mañana cuando llegábamos tod@s a las familias. El avión salió con retraso pero tod@s muy contentos.

 ¡Hola a tod@s! Nuestros alumn@s ya están listos para empezar a disfrutar de unas semanas en Westbourne. Hemos quedado para ver donde está situada la escuela y la zona por donde vamos hacer un montón de cosas que seguro que nos lo pasaremos genial!

2 julio

   Nuestro primer día en la escuela. A los chic@s les han hecho el test de nivel y han tenido una charla de orientación de bienvenida. Y se han juntado con muchos estudiantes de otras nacionalidades.

Por la tarde nos hemos ida a la bolera.

 

3 julio

  Nos está haciendo unos días muy buenos, así que hoy hemos aprovechado y nos hemos ido a la playa.

NAVAL - DIA 3

Hello from Naval.

Our third day here! Time flies when you’re having fun. 

We continued with the English lessons in the morning and after that, we played several games in the swimming pool known as the Poolympics. This game is also part of the competition between the two houses and this time the winner were the Titans. 

 In the afternoon, we continued with archery and pottery, and finally at night we played bowling in the Aula Magna, and this time the Guardians won the game.

  

NAVAL - DIA 2

Second day and first full day here in Naval!

Today we started the English lessons. After the lessons, we went to the pool and we played a very fun game for our competition: Scrapool. In this game, the students had to find tiles with letters written on them all over the swimming pool in order to make words with them afterwards. This time, the Guardians were the winners since they managed to make more words than the Titans. In the afternoon, we did pottery and we also did archery. We loved it! Finally at night, we did a little experiment to make giant bubbles. 

It’s been an intense but great day!

NAVAL - DIA 1

Buenos dias,
  nuestros participantes llegaron muy bien a su destino. Y ya han comenzado las actividades previstas.

Hello from Naval! We are very excited to be finally here. 
Today it’s been a very busy day. When we arrived at Naval, we went to what is going to be our home for these days, the Casa Rural, and we unpacked and settled in our rooms. After that, we went for a walk around Naval so that the new students could become familiar with the village, and then we also went to the pool before lunch. Then, in the afternoon, we played baseball (for some of us it was our first time playing baseball so we had to learn first) and we went for a swim again - it was a lot of fun! 
For some of the activities, the students are now divided into two houses that are going to engage in a competition during the summer camp. The two teams or houses are called the Titans and the Guardians. Let the best house win! Finally after dinner and in order to start the competition, we played Twister and the Titans won. 
We’re already making a lot of friends, and we are very happy to be here.
