As usual, we had classes in the morning and the evening we had a “triathlon”: Dodgeball, K.O (Basketball) and a football match.

We did something different today. Thanks to Víctor, the baker in Naval, the kids made bread. They put their imagination at work to make different shapes, faces, turtles, mice and even the Aragón shield. Here we have Tony, Paul and Mencía working:

Today was a very special day. After the classes we went to mass and then we visited the Dolores hermitage, where we had a wonderful barbeque.

Today was Saturday but we had classes in the morning anyway. Here we have Judith’s class singing “Call me, maybe”.

Hi there! We went to Alquézar today, it’s only one hour away from Naval so we could even have classes in the morning.

WESTBOURNE'S COURSE - LAST WEEK

Monday, 15^th July

We had free day to do some shopping or to go to the beach, or just lie down in the park. But in the evening all together went for the last time to the disco in the church, it was crowded and everyone liked the music.

 

 

 

 

SUMMER CAMP NAVAL - DAY 3

Hi there again! Although it rained a bit in the evening we were able to do all of our planned activities. In the morning we played scrapool. What’s scrapool? It’s like scrabble but in the pool. We throw some tiles with letters into the pool, the kids have to look for them while they dive and then they have to build words.

SUMMER CAMP NAVAL - DAY 2

We were expecting bad weather today but we had a really sunny day instead. After seeing how hot it was, we decided to hold our special Poolympics! The New York Yankees and The Boston Red Sox competed fiercely against each other and the Yankees won.

SUMMER CAMP NAVAL - DAY 16 JULY 2013

Hello everybody! We are back in Naval with a new bunch of kids. Today the kids had the opportunity to get to know each other, do some sport, practice archery and pottery for the first time and of course, we had our special McNaval in El Salinar!

Friday, 5^th July

We visited Saint Peter’s and we learnt the history of Tudors and the Church of England, after lunch we went to Poole and we discovered a 99p shop and everyone got crazy!!

 

SUMMER CAMP NAVAL - DAY 9

Yesterday we had our baseball final. The winners were the Detroit Tigers who were also the champions of the House Competitions. The man of the match was Pablo Ochoa who played for the Tigers as the pitcher. Congratulations Tigers!

SUMMER CAMP NAVAL - DAY 8

After the classes we had our baseball semifinal. The New York Yankees played against the Boston Red Sox and the winners were NY. These are Helen from NY, who is batting and Marta from Boston, who is the catcher.

Tuesday, 2^nd July,

In the morning we went to have a walk in the Alum Chine Park, and in the afternoon we went to Saint Paul’s Church where Mary Shelley, the author of Frankenstein is buried. In the evening we went to the under-16 disco, where we enjoyed a lovely soirée with other students from diferent countries.

After our classes and mass we went to the Dolores hermitage where we had a BBQ!

Today we went to Alquézar. The weather was really sunny and hot, so the kids were really looking forward to swimming in the river. However, we first visited the Colegiata and we took a picture of the whole camp:

It was such a hot day today that we decided to play scrapool.  This year we made it even more difficult since we put black tape on the kids’ goggles. Here we can see Xavi collecting some tiles:

Hoy nuestros alumnos han participado en el mercadillo solidario. Han practicado las expresiones de compra y venta, ademas de recaudar por una buena causa.

SUMMER CAMP NAVAL - DAY 3:

   After the classes, we celebrated our special water activity: Poolympics. Some of the kids were really competitive and they tried their best. It was very hot and they had lots of fun:

We started our usual routine today. We had classes in the morning, pottery, archery and baseball in the evening and we went to the pool to have a swim and play volleyball.

First Day in Naval: SALINAR

In this picture we can see how hungry our little ones were! We had hamburgers and homemade french fries for dinner. We call it the “MacNaval”. It rained a bit but we could enjoy the evening.          

FIRST DAY IN NAVAL

We are very happy to be here again another year! We arrived at 11 o’clock and the weather was fantastic. Today, our main activity was to get to know each other.

We went to El Salinar and we had a great time! The kids couldn’t believe that they floated without any effort.

 

WESTBOURNE

Sunday, 30th June

 

We met at Ashley Road and we walked to the school, later we took the bus to the city centre and we jumped into a sighseeing bus. It was really nice, we saw all the city centre and the cliffs. After we had lunch at the beach, although it was a little windy and cold and then we visited the park and went shopping.
